There is no "perfect" equipment. It all depends on what effect one is trying to get.

I think that's why he listed a few categories of effects one may be trying to get.
As for my "Superhero outfit", I had a hard time. Ended up with unisex beanie, leather jacket, denim pants, fingerless gloves, sneakiers, sunglasses, kneepads, coil of rope, xentrium crossbow, asp evader, Swedish Navy Wrench.
Not very super, but meh. More like a burglar. Might come up with something different, but can't find exactly what I want for the other kind of personality I would go for. Would probably include aviator's goggles, though.

Here's the farming guide I wrote (which is currently an absolute mess in need of a total overhaul and rewrite), which kinda attempts to come up with a perfect farming outfit, and I believe is just about completely outdated:

Pretty sure there is a policy or rule somewhere against using me as an example in anything...

For a chip and item farming mixture, which is probably best for Castle Hudwenstein.
H: Foxy Sombrero (DON)
MH: Long arm of the law
S: Sturdy Harness
G: Coldfinger Gloves
P: Discount Pants
B; Roderick's boots (DON)
OH: Isotope meter (QUEST)
A: Hero's cape (DON)
A: Wolley's index (DON)
T: Ultimate Aviator Goggles (UR)
+39% chips
+50% item drops
DON stands for Donation item. QUEST for quest item. UR for ultra rare.
Then we have item that increase drops too. But i can't be bothered right now

If you are looking for optimality, as the wiki is complete (to the best of my knowledge) you can easily find the best outfits there.
This used to be my Azathoth hunting gear. It minimizes turn length (pants and shirt), has both stat gain items (gloves and helmet), ensures everything dies quickly (furnace) and the rest goes to item drops (boots, offhand, index, and judo kid gloves through smuggler).

That's his wikification script.
Blink wrote:What do they do and how come I dont have them?
Clicking the W opens the wiki page. You dont have it? Download and install Firefox, get greasemonkey and then search the TH wiki for greasemonkey scripts.
Blink wrote:Also, what would be a good Azathoth hunter gear for non-Donaters?
Dunno, i'll have to think about it.
Blink wrote:Also, Azathoth drops the shimmering chaos 100%. The extra item drops arent worth having.
He does yes. But remember, it may take 6 months + to find Azathoth. If you spend 100 turns per day for 6 months, that's 18k turns. If the + item drops give you, say, 1 extra drop per 5 turns, that could be 3600 extra items. At auto sell, that's 360k. Selling in AH or to other players could push that up past 450k, so it works out at a Silver star. Totally worth it, no?

All the data is in the wiki.
As one is hunting for a UR the first target is to reduce 30 seconds (the maximum) turn duration. Short turns = More turns a day = more chance to meet Azathoth. The second target will be item drops (from the reason Strlikecrazy mentioned). We will keep our weapon slot free so killing foes is easy. If you are not a Gadgeteer you will also need the offhand slot for filthy sock puppet to avoid fumbles, which are the most dangerous thing with such a weapon.
A full table of items that reduce turn length is available
here. Without donation items, this can be done with at least 3 slots. The rest will be item drop modifiers from the complete table
here. You can surely go on from here. I'll post the best outfit I came up with tomorrow or something.

The vambrace gloves are very, very good at reducing fumbles with the furnace as well.
