Stickied threads (they have the... splat image) usually contain guidelines for given subforums. In this particular forum, there's one specifically for introductions ("Introduce Yourself").

The general theory is to reduce clutter by having one thread with 50 introductions as opposed to 50 threads with one introduction. But... it's not that big of a deal right now, to be honest.

Welcome to the game, and don't mind the others... some of our players seem to be a little... demented...
