I brought up the wiki and it appears to have been vandalized. No search function, lots of flashing images, and a vulgar/childish message.

Yes, it will be fixed eventually.

Is there a way to set up an auto-back-up on the entire Wiki? Say like every week or so?

It's just a matter of someone with sufficient permissions reverting the changes. It looks like that's been done.
