Absolutely a bug.

Was the entire behavior of taking the last foes resistance/weakness a bug, or just the fact that it would reset on logout?

The former, of course. It would take some weird logic to justify something picking up the resistance of a foe you fought at some other point.

They may be scaling weird too. While using a Gigaguy Cannon:

Pit monster: You hit 5 times for 197 +5 damage. (~39/hit)
Castle Hunderwhatever: You hit 9 times for 386 +5 damage. (~42/hit)
Cannonball Tavern: You hit 9 times for 2799 +5 damage. (311/hit)
Moria: You hit 6 times for 1047 +2 damage. (~174/hit)

I mean, sure, it makes Moria a cakewalk, but it seems a little... off.

The mine creatures have a cap, while the pit doesn't. The cap is probably lower than Castle H's levels.

Ahhh. Explains a lot. Cool.

Judging by XP alone, even the lowbie foes in Nor' Star Mine Shaft gave 250 XP at cap, while all the castle ones give less, so I thought they were higher level than the castle. I guess there was more to it.

There are a few other things in there. One is numbers from a scaling foe won't necessarily match up well with a numbers from a non-scaling foe, even at a technically higher level. Another is I bumped up the XP caps a bit, because it doesn't hurt to gain better than average XP in a limited-time event.

This is a bug?

The event is limited. But the items in there might resurface again in some other fashion. No guarantees either way, though.

Hehe, he said limited time event.

I was pretty sure anyway due to the red frames. Up to now red frames always meant limited time.

Voodoo Doll isn't rounding the numbers properly:
You hold up the voodoo doll, which somehow imprints itself upon your current opponent. (Added for 5.08333333333 minutes.)
It's fine on the left pane, it's just not hidden in the use text.

The little question mark image for the perm sidekick disappears after logout/login.

PermKicks are acting a little weird. I updated the name when I switched mine to Massage Therapist. At first, the character sheet said new name while side pane said old and post-combat said old.

I logged out/in.

Name on pane vanished (as did the image). Post combat gave:
gives you a quick, invigorating massage once the fight is over. You gain 10 HP and 10 PP.
(no name). Character sheet shows proper name. Something isn't talking to something else.

The effects work, but the customization doesn't.

Edit: Going back to the sidekick page, and re-selecting the focus seems to fix this. Odd.

On the same subject, after you choose a focus, the order of the list in the hideout changes. It starts with the order by ID (Basic understudy, Self defense expert, Karate expert etc.) but when you choose something it becomes Basic understudy, Flea market trader, Documentarian ...

Not so much a bug as an inconsistency.

In the Sanatarium, the adventure "Better than a Pre-Frontal Lobotomy" gives you a bottle of pills. Unlike other non-combats that give items, there's no picture of the pill bottle next to "You find an item: bottle of pills."

Sidekick name will carry over through logout.
Sidekick order will be maintained properly after picking one.
Bottle of pills now has an image.

Thanks, folks.

The documentarian gives fractional XP

shows you some clips from your most recent fight, emphasizing the really good bits. You gain 4.5 XP

Am I drunk or did something break the return items functionality? I can return lost items, can't use wedges or decks of cards. Wedges and decks don't even show up in the Use Items page.

Snowballs and icicles still work, though, but their pulldown list doesn't show any other item.

I noticed something off, too, noticed I didn't see my magic decks of cards in the use things section, but didn't pay any attention to it :/ Whatever it is, it just started sometime yesterday after I ran my turns/today, because I was able to see my cards in the use section yesterday :/

Ah, shoot. Returnable is kind of a hidden variable, and I suspect some of them got over-written during the IotM tagging escapade. Not sure why it didn't happen to all of them, though.

As near as I can tell, it did. Snow day items don't have a special tag, I don't think.

This might be on purpose, but Race car driver is not affected by judo kids and other items/effects that should increase its effectiveness.
(was originally noticed by Harry Dresden)

Lxs shows you some clips from your most recent fight, emphasizing the really good bits. You gain 8.75 XP.

(when it's not 8.75, it's 7.5)

Lxs is my Documentarian sidekick. Things I am wearing that might affect this:

judo kid gloves
prismatic sports bra

---------

I'm not sure if this is simply a typo (/rounding error), or an actual bug, so I'm putting it here.

While castle guard is immune to fire damage from attacks, he is not even resistant to fire damage from spells (data from Doctor Mojo)

Much like SMART Software won't work in scaling zones, neither does Soul Gazing. You won't get reports in the Space Station (robot areas) or the Pit, either.

No, I don't know why.

I don't know if this is wrong or maybe I missunderstood the ranged weapon system and I'm making very bad calculations..
Combat!
You attack ... You hit the foe! You hit 5 times for 245 damage.

Your trident fires a sonic shock wave, dealing an additional 54 damage.

You gain some of your opponent's life force. You gain 1 hit points.

You gain some of your opponent's energy. You gain 1 power points.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
this is wearing the new trident... I guess there's something wrong...

If 245 is the damage from wich the 5% recovery is calculated, definitely 1 is not the right ammount
but.. if 245 is the total damage from adding each strike, that might mean that the 5% recovery is calculated from 245/5, wich is 49, and still, 1 is not the 5% of 49...

Or maybe I'm doing a lot of trouble for nothing.. just.. let me know...

_____________________________________________________________________________________

ok.. this happened again...
Combat!
You attack ... You hit the foe! You hit 6 times for 339 damage.

Your trident fires a sonic shock wave, dealing an additional 61 damage.

You gain some of your opponent's life force. You gain 2 hit points.

You gain some of your opponent's energy. You gain 2 power points.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
Maybe it's because of the foe's HP that I can't gain any more than that?

Oh.. by the way.. this is against the Voonith in Underwater City

You can't leech from more than the opponent has. If the foe only has 10 HP left, your leech will base of the 10 remaining, not the damage you do (unless you do 10, heh)

ypou should add that to the weapon description... just for avoid further questions.. or am I the only one capable of asking such things?
