Comic Con 2011
It's happening in 2 weeks.
It seems like this would be the kind of audience that would go. Anybody going and feel like a meetup/handshake?

That is completely on the wrong side of the country. Have fun, though!

Re: Comic Con 2011
They need to have ComiCon in New Orleans or something... then I could go.
I've won the 100k DD bet so many times, I should have the title "Mr. Luck"
Re: Comic Con 2011
Sadly, all of the passes were sold out within hours.
So despite my living in San Diego, I will not be able to attend.
But if anyone else is attending, pick an Irish pub in the Gaslamp District, and I'll come over to drink a pint with you.

This is why I don't even try anymore.Sanjuro wrote:Sadly, all of the passes were sold out within hours.

Yeah, it was crazy. Only reason I have them is because I did the onsite purchase last year. I know what I'm doing Thursday morning.Sanjuro wrote:Sadly, all of the passes were sold out within hours.
I think a lot of the reason they went so quick is because they delayed it so far. And next year, even if it is back in September/October like usual, I think there will be a rush just because people saw how quick they went this time.
Also, since you're there already, they have a bunch of stuff surrounding the convention center you don't need passes for (but you probably already knew that).

I can't find my original note from last year, but the offer I made stands. If you're going to comic-con and can provide some evidence that you're there wearing a Twilight Heroes shirt, I'll give you a gold star in-game, which is basically getting the shirt for about half price.
Re: Comic Con 2011
I might just see if I can pre-register for next year's Comic-Con, without needing a pass.
That is, if I can get through the traffic and find parking.
Anyway, if you want to meet up, send me your contact info in an in-game message or to this forum account.

Man, I forgot you were there, and didn't check in here. Maybe next year.Sanjuro wrote:Anyway, if you want to meet up, send me your contact info in an in-game message or to this forum account.
The preregistration was crazy. It was scheduled for 8-11 AM, but I got there at 7:30 on Friday, and they already cut off people coming in. People camped out for it. I did, too, but only because I was out late, missed the trolley, and had nowhere else to go. It was at least a safe place to sleep (badly). And me getting there around 3, there were already a few hundred people in line.

This year, all of the available passes sold out within 30 minutes.
Sigh.
Sigh.
