It has to be -initiative since the enemies hear you coming. I added +intellect since you were more aware of their presence... I dunno... I suck at this stuff.Cristiona wrote:Perhaps "Strum"? Re: Creative player ideas for in-game items, zones, etc.
Just for shiggles, I'll suggest a badge. Actually, a couple of them everyone would already get(have), but are trying to get RID of:
First badge could be called "Ending of the Story" Badge(in reference to "The Never Ending Story, somehow, and badge image may reflect this), where one obtains it at their first badge (or maybe a day or two after) because they are on their way to collecting badges elsewhere, but have NOT collected all badges possible(in normal game-play that is). (Or maybe lose it JUST as they obtain the next-to-the-last badge obtainable with some message like "Well you managed to get so many badges, you don't need "Ending of the Story" Badge. I guess that ends that story of this badge, huh? Keep looking!"
The second badge would be obtained when one finds half of the badges(or a day or two later) obtainable by normal game-play called "Center of Gravity". It would have an image of a spiral galaxy and the following message upon receiving it: "Well you got half of the way thru the badges, but there are more to go. I wonder where they are?" When the "Ending of the Story" Badge vanishes, or a day or two later, this badge vanishes with the comment: "I wonder if there is a story behind these badges? Will it ever end? Keep looking, just to be sure!"
Obviously there is room for tweaking into the actual storyline of the actual game.

When you do the best you can it's called a try!
If you don't you need to ask yourself why?
Just give it a thought,
And failure is worth naught.
And then like an eagle you shall fly!

Re: Creative player ideas for in-game items, zones, etc.
Since the number of badges can fluctuate, and lots of people are already in lots of stages, not sure either of those two would be exactly right. However, a "badgefinder badge" for collecting X (8, say?) might be funny.

Here are some leftover combinations/ welds I came up with:
serpent skin + black hood = Cobra hood
It makes you paranoid (+dodging ability?), and megalomaniacal (+Strength, Intellect, and Reflexes?).
However..."Dessstro, your plan hasss failed! Why am I sssurrounded by sssuch foolsss?" (-10% sidekick effectiveness, because of your greatly reduced leadership skills)
serpent skin + racoon mask = Snake-eyed balaclava
Makes you stealthy (+non-combats, or +initiative) and mysterious. You don't seem to talk much when you're wearing this...
denim pants + golden apple = applebottom jeans
I like these jeans and I cannot lie!
red pill + unisex beanie = Scarlet Wig
named after the G.I. Joe character, of course.

Here's another one.
malkamite + unbranded jalopy = Old-mobile
It will really enrage people when you drive slowly in the fast lane, with your right turn signal constantly blinking.

Forgive me if this has been pitched in before as I have not the time nor the effort to actually search through this thing because I'm short of time and it's kind of huge.
If the telekinetic katana has a malkamite upgrade in the cranky old bastard sword, the other 1 powered 20 elemental damage weapon should get one as well.
As in the jury-rigged splatter.
I was thinking something poisonous darts or the like as malkamite is an old/primitive metal.
And yeah, that was the best thing I could come up with.
Thanks!

Or, it could get a pentium (or infernium, I suppose) upgrade and be a brimstone blaster.Avenger wrote:As in the jury-rigged splatter.

As awesome as that sounds, I think the poisonous darts (like the ones of the protectors of the graveyard in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) would be better.Cristiona wrote:Or, it could get a pentium (or infernium, I suppose) upgrade and be a brimstone blaster.Avenger wrote:As in the jury-rigged splatter.

As a rainbow farter, I think we need more acid elemental damaged items.
Because my rainbow attack messages lack some green and sometimes the moccasins or the Rocker Pants just don't cut it.
Rainbow farter, heh.

Again, as awesome as that sounds. I think a malkamite upgrade would be better.Blink wrote:Infernium + ??? = Rainbow Farter.
Ranged weapon
1 power
10 of each element damage.
chance to stun enemy
Because with the malk upgrade, the telekinetic katana went up 189 power, yet had been subtracted 8 elemental damage.
So if the Jury-rigged splatter would have a 189 power upgrade but an 8 acid damage downgrade, it would be something that would satisfy the lack of powerful acid damage items, which I implied with my last post as something the Twilight Community has a shortage of.
But as the probably the only rainbow farter in TH, (as far as I know), I'm probably the only one who cares about it.
EDIT:
Not the only rainbow farter anymore. xD

Probably the rainbow farter would be too hard and too overpowered to be implemented, me thinks.MagiNinjA wrote:Why not have both?
I'm still pulling for that acid damage item.
Moar acid damaged items plz. kthx.
Psychic also comes to mind when talking about an elemental damaged type item we lack.

The term "rainbow farter" doesn't exactly correlate to "man, I badly need to include THAT in the game". What's wrong with "prismatic"?

"Prismatic farter"?
Besides, haven't we kind of co-opted prismatic with the bra and dreampants?

Warming Gloves
Man. this is hard.. some people see you wearing this, some other don't. Quite polemical, this might get you several more fights... anyway.. all you know is that they DO exist, at least in your hands
randomly does X fire damage
+ combat adventures

Not as such.
We do have wandering (and not so wandering) villains that you can fight, but the only way they harass or prevent drops is by having you fight them instead of something else.

That's by far the most intriguing idea you've posted, Blink. Not sure I'll do it (writing 50 different noncombat adventures is tough, among other things) but it would provide quite interesting flavor.

The Shoveler shiny Shovel
shepherdess of the Shovels
sure she shyly shines
she shall save you, and stand

Shave that shimmering sheet of hair on your head,
shrink your shady belt,
and wash your shadow to shift it
from shy, shaming and shabby,
to shiny, shimmering and self confident!
yeah.. I know. that has no sh.. it is a shovel. not a joke..geez

positronic computer + Clepsydra's clockwork key =
clockwork computer
It has all the speed and power of a positronic computer, with a Steampunk feel. The clear plastic case lets you spend hours watching all the cogs and gears in motion.
Same effects as a positronic computer, but once or twice a day:
You hear a click as the gears inside of the clockwork computer move into the perfect alignment, and a small, shiny disk ejects. (I envision the disk containing one shot of a random software effect; e.g. 45 seconds taken off the next turn length, or 3 SUIT points rewarded for using the disk.)

Pocket Watch
You get strange looks from all the young kids on the streets, but carrying around your watch on a chain
reminds you of a kinder, gentler age. When villains were smited (smote?) with fists and billy clubs rather
than fancy weaponry. Unfortunately, you have to wind the clock every four or five minutes.

Being a huge TRON fan, and after seeing the Light Cycle in Twilight Heroes, I decided to come up with a Twilight Heroes-version of the classic TRON weapon.
Cipher Disc
Weld Metal-rimmed frisbee + Illuminum
Ranged Weapon (archaic blunt)
+x Electric damage, Less fumbles
Description: To defeat the evil Master Operating System, a superhero named Cipher entered the computer world and used a weapon identical to this that he controlled with his mind. If you can master this, think about how good you'll be at frisbee golf!

Bolt rum
this bottle has an image of a tiger out in the space fighting robots, the guy who sold this to you said it had rum. but when you shake the bottle you hear a metallic noise in there. like if the bottle had some sort of screw in it...
Nevetheless it tastes good, and makes you string folder, erh.. feel stronger
consumable
adds % of strenght
adds "Dazed" effect
