Recent Site Outage
As you can see/have seen, the site's been experiencing some issues due to a bad disk. The site has now been copied over to a new disk and the forum is working again. Obviously. However, Ryme broke login while the site was experiencing issues, so until it's fixed, login won't work as the site can't connect to the database right now.

At least the forums are back. Now we can get down to business: assigning blame!

I would have to guess it won't be until morning. Don't have any solid information, though.

Bet it has sucked - but i like the rollover Kitty, I reckon he should be implemented and have an UR drop, or to be a sidekick!SpockYoda wrote:I'm glad to see things on their way to all-betterness, anyways. Do we have an estimated time of completion? I bet it's just been a terrible day for Ryme.

Ryme's been at work unable to do much at all without being yelled at, so yeah, probably. I /think/ everything's back to normal now, but who knows. Ryme's probably already gone to sleep, and game can't be taken out of maintenance without him doing it manually, I believe.

Re: Recent Site Outage
Yeah, sorry folks. A simple little clock update turned into a failed hard drive on reboot, which turned into a 12-hour mess. I think they finally got things fixed about an hour after I went to bed, and for some reason their backups triggered right when the site was in maintenance mode. Initial testing indicates things are working properly now, but please let me know if you see anything odd. I'll be keeping an eye on things as much as I can.
Thanks for your patience.

I logged in for a short while about half an hour ago, but now it seems to be down again.

No password was revealed there. That's the standard MySQL error for denied access. User @ location, using password: YES or NO. It's saying no password was used, not that the password was NO.Muhandes wrote:I logged in for a short while about half an hour ago, but now it seems to be down again.

Well, things looked good for a bit two hours ago, but since then I've been flooded with more error messages. Still talking with tech support. I'll keep you posted as I can.

Re: Recent Site Outage
When I logged in today, I had more available time than I expected. Is this a bug related to the outage, a gift, or have I just not been paying attention?
Thanks,

Re: Recent Site Outage
I think it was intentional, but everyone got the same thing.
Re: Recent Site Outage
It was not intentional. During the server difficulties, rollover was apparently triggered a couple of extra times. It would cause more problems than good to attempt to repair that, though, so consider the extra time a gift from the server gods.

I didn't have any issues.. because I play Twilight Heroes in paper (?)
anyway.. do we all agree it was Satan's fault, even if he didn't do it directly?
