I'm officially announcing the upcoming nonsensically named "30 Days of Twilight" to celebrate the upcoming 1-year anniversary of the Twilight Heroes beta. Starting this Halloween, and running through the entire month of November, BIG THINGS will be afoot in the city of Twilight.
Among the things you can expect during those 30 days:
At least one new quest
A properly working verison of PvP
At least 2 "holiday" one-day events
Some massive contests and giveaways, courtesy of some of the other players
Special events on Halloween, the actual anniversary
Some kind of contest here on the forums
Lots of little updates and interface adjustments that are long overdue
Some kind of special anniversary memento. (Hint: log in and play on Halloween--that's 31 October to anyone who doesn't know when it is. Seriously. You've been warned now.)
Possibly some earlier content if I can get things ready sooner than the 31st
1 new Item of the Month (well, yeah, we always have them, but ...)
Cake, too! Lots of moist, juicy cake. Er, not juicy. Frosted?

There will be a giveaway as Ryme mentioned in the month of Nov most likely over one of the weekends.
The Tenkplus account that has been a donation dump account for most of the last year will be opening up the coffers and giving back to the player base.
The most fair way we think to distribute these items will be in raffle, some tickets (numbers) given out in chat, others in the forums. We will try to spread out the chances as much as possible so that most people can get in on the fun.

Corrupt Shadow gets most of the credit for the new logo. He demonstrated some excellent photoshopping skills and a steady patience in the face of a very picky Ryme while we worked to get the image right. I'd been saving it for a busy night (like election night) where I wouldn't have the time to do anything more creative on my own.

Okay, so I guess the 30 days is wrapping up. Other than the very first promised item (a new quest), I managed to hit all the rest. Next year I'm going to pace myself better or set more modest goals, because 30 days is too long to be that aggressive about development. Maybe we'll have anniversary week, or something.
I am still working on that new quest, and it's my priority for December.
I am fully excited and pleased. The recipe contest was most surprising, and great. If you think you need a week to create a new zone, and a new quest, and do other things, instead of a whole month, I get it...
