We have pinatas.
We have candy.
What I'm suggesting should be obvious.

Gadgeteers need a sidekick. I was thinking we should be able to build (summon) a little hovering drone that acts like the laser training droid in Star Wars. I'm guessing a power similar to Summon Wolf.

Maybe some caffeine gum and caffeine pills in one of the galleria shops?

(It would be really cool if that page started filling up with links to various shops....)

Caffeine gum = sugar + caffeine? That could lead to some interesting mechanics for lower-level foods.

What if Naturalists could have more than 1 sidekick? It would make sense narratively, given their animal empathy (and whatnot). I refer to the Druid of D2. It couldn't really hurt to be able to, I don't think, given that most sidekicks are scarce.

EDIT: 2? 3? Maybe you can get to a ceiling at some level.

Just having a generic "more than one sidekick" would imbalance Naturalists way too much. But I can see them getting more animal sidekicks (wolf, buffalo, crow, monkey) as they level up. At level 15, being able to have 1 normal sidekick and 3 animal sidekicks could work.

I disagree. This isn't especially balancing because there aren't any epic sidekicks that would cause an imbalance under pretty much any circumstance. That and they have a time limit anyways. Naturalists don't have spells nor a healing spell. I think this kind of situation warrants for another sidekick. Maybe another one at level 3 or 4? Because really, what ARE you going to use besides maybe IotMs or the buyable? They aren't phenomenal sidekicks as it is. Most people won't have the IotM anyways.

Back in my transmog days, playing as a Naturalist was unbearable, even with just about every single buff, because they don't have any kind of attacking power or compensation power that all the other classes have.

Crow + Informant wouldn't be unbalancing? Especially when you give both a +50% from the kid gloves?

Interesting...

Hmm. Maybe only 25% to each?

I like this, a lot. And quite frankly I don't really think it would be unbalancing, especially if we tie it to an inherent passive skill - perhaps make it the 16th level Naturalist skill.

Yeah. Being a farmer past the point of even considering other things people do in the game, having a publicist, monkey, and mafia informer might be a leeeetle bit overpowered. Even two of those. That would be the only issue.

Merit Badge:
The instructor takes a look at you and says "Hmm, you've really had the stuffing beat out of you. Haven't you, Tom? Don't feel bad, to be a hero you must persevere in the face of severe beatings handed out by malicious thugs and the like. Here, take heart and take this as well." He hands you a badge and you take it, even though you aren't named Tom and you aren't full of stuffing like a turkey.
You get a merit badge: Underdog

Requirement: Be defeated 100 times in combat. It is not required to lose all 100 times in a row.

EDIT: The instructor calling you 'Tom' and the whole stuffing thing is a Tom Turkey/Thanksgiving joke. Appropriate for the current month, isn't it?

Thinking of bringing more things together and working the Superhero aspect a bit.

I think the gadgeteers need to be able to build a gauntlet that links to the jetpack. Allows for Ironman style rocket punch (+ to init and + to dam while both are worn).

I would also support a newspaper of some sort.
I like the Help Wanted. Maybe some little menial tasks that you can get a handful of chips or xp from. Possibly even a reputation tie-in.

Elemental Skill: Shards of Ice
Level Attained: 15 or 16?
Skill Type: Combat
PP Cost: 25 or 30?
When Used: Countless shards of ice fly at your opponent; stabbing, slicing, and impaling them. You hit for ? damage. Cool!
