Re: State of the Game 2015
It's hard to say - there are plenty of days when I log in, play all my turns, and log out, without having seen a single other person in chat; but really it's been like that as long as I can remember. I had a lot of trouble with the IHOA event, it just didn't seem friendly to frequent retconners. It'...

Re: Heirloom Derby
I started doing heirloom runs as soon as they were introduced - mostly because they allow me to use my digitizer and multiversal call center without having to worry about pulls. So doing derby runs is just like doing normal runs for me, besides what I pull. Despite that, I've managed to get a non-gu...

Re: Make pulls carry over?
Unless you restricted those.
In fact, my last several retcons, I did 5 pulls/day and naturally hyper, and I didn't play a turn until Day 3. I just pulled 5 items each in days 1 and 2. This change wouldn't have been any more than a minor convenience, in case I forgot to log in on day 2.

Well, I didn't donate this month because I happened to have a surplus of silver stars, with which I got the IotM. I do plan to donate again once those run out, but I AM a poor starving (graduate) student, and TH and KoL are my only real entertainment expenses.

That sounds like a great idea.
Maybe they can introduce understudy equipment, which is made by crafting from the item that created them. Or something.

Re: The Vortex Suit and Subscriber's Exclusive Jacket
I can see almost no reason why you would have bought this thing for the suit since it's, as you alluded to, underwhelming, and that's regardless of the shirt this month. This item was clearly valuable for the cycle and that thing is still awesome. Well, I bought it for the suit since I had nothing ...

That wasn't necessarily the point of making this thread - which was that an IotM got made obsolete within two months, and would it be possible to buff it in any way?
Although I guess the answer to my question is "absolutely not". Okay, fine.

I don't see how. The jacket is completely better than the Suit, and the Cycle isn't all that useful as far as I can tell.Cristiona wrote:I suppose doing a shirt just two months after a full-body suit wasn't the best of plans, but I think you're kind of underrating the Vortex.

Re: The Vortex Suit and Subscriber's Exclusive Jacket
That doesn't mean that all of sudden it's useless and no one will ever want. I love my Vortex Cycle. I love it for its flavor, but for an IotM, it would be nice if I got more than 2 months before something completely better came along. I can't think of many circumstances where people would have thi...

The Vortex Suit and Subscriber's Exclusive Jacket
Okay, so I bought the Vortex Cycle when it came out. For two reasons; one, I donate when I can because this is a great game and I want to support it. But also, because at that point I didn't have any shirt or pants IotMs, and the Vortex Suit would be useful. Well, fast forward a whole 2 months, and ...

I have 4 of one of the octotron fusion parts, and 1 each of 8 others. Given how few there are in the mall, I think it would be cool to have some sort of fusion transformer that "zaps" the parts. No creating new ones, so still one per ascension.

So the variety of talismans in the game is great, but I am not sure that this does anything given how much of an issue it is to switch them - though I see the narrative justification for it. I think a skill that reduced the cost would be potentially interesting.

I have been using the kid - I am sure a wolf would be better but I don't really have a source of PP. I suppose I can look harder for one though. And I will put my remaining skill points in Trample.
