You should be able to get the complete mall experience while still under restrictions. You can buy a shop, stock your shop and buy things all from DS (and have them sent to DS).

It might be best to color your tells differently, rather than the notifications. Maybe maroon for those. I'd also be a fan of coloring my own name -- to call out when I last interacted with the thread of the conversation.

The conceptual problem could also be solved by making them 'quest' items that vanish at Retcon. Then we wouldn't be debating whether you should be able to pull them or not.

For those pushing for consistency, the other option is to make it so mettle is not a free pull. This would be more akin to KoL's system, though still more flexible, IMO.

When do you think a 5/day pull no-perm run will be trumped by a all-skill no-pull run? How many perms? Consider you have all items available to pull. And figure the standard is days rather than time.
